Autocad Drafter Jobs

The Siegel Group is actively hiring a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter. As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will be responsible for transforming conceptual ideas into precise visual representations and technical drawings using specialized CAD software. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting various projects ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively manager project timelines and prioritize tasks to meet said deadlines. Must be able to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Type of work including but not limited to: multifamily apartments and condominiums, quick service restaurants, interior rooms, exterior property layouts, etc.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including construction, project management, designers, and purchasing team. Liaise with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
• Stay updated with the latest CAD technologies and industry trends to enhance design capabilities and propose innovative solutions.
• Strong technical, organizational and communication skills to develop clear, concise drawings for installation and construction.
• Produce plans, elevations, views, sections and details by creating detailed 2D or 3D models, designs and technical drawings for specific projects.
• Annotate drawings with hardware call-outs, finish notes and assembly instructions. Drawing scales as they relate to text, dimensions, lines, viewpoints, etc.
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and industry standards for quality, precision and accuracy.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Handle design revisions and updates based on feedback and changing project requirements. Complete redline corrections and additions as necessary on drawings following project manager review.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Attention to detail, and ability to follow instruction and the department standards
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD and modeling in 3D
• Must have good written and verbal communications skills
• Able to document existing site conditions and read/interpret CAD drawings
• Candidates should demonstrate the ability to multi-task and efficiently deliver well-coordinated technical documents and construction administration.
• Able to work cooperatively with others in a hands-on team environment
• Two years’ experience in design experience within Real Estate or Architecture firm
