Job Description

Duties

Brief Description of the Major Duties:

  • Assists the Senior Audio Electronic Technician in audio/visual asset management, including tracking and passing quarterly internal asset management audits
  • Trains and demonstrates court personnel and non-court personnel on equipment usage, the operation of Courtroom audio/visual, presentation systems and other related equipment
  • Utilizes Courtsmart software to start and stop recordings and monitor audio to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Assists multimedia specialists with video and audio conferencing set-ups, video, audio editing and production projects as needed
  • Advises stakeholders of set-up statuses and coordinates any changes necessary
  • Sets-up, breaks down and transports all audio and/or visual equipment in courtrooms, conference rooms, classrooms, remote locations or special events to maintain daily event schedule
  • Performs physical maintenance maintenance, including upgrading laptops, imaging laptops, television and visual imaging software and firmware updates
  • Diagnoses, repairs and maintains audio/visual or multimedia equipment
  • Performs regular database verification and asset location inspections

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma plus six (6) years of experience with audiovisual and sound engineering equipment (voice and instruments), which includes three (3) years providing litigation support in a law firm or court.

Must be able to lift 100 pounds.

Bachelor's degree in radio, television or film or a certification from an accredited audio engineering school is preferred.
