Responsibilities


How Will You Contribute to the Company?


We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Attack Surface Management Intern to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in cybersecurity, learning from industry experts and gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.


What Will You Do?


  • Implement the enterprise-wide strategy and key initiatives/projects focused on the reduction of technology risk within Cradlepoint under the direction of the Director of Attack Surface Management
  • Support the Attack Surface Management team in identifying and tracking vulnerabilities within Cradlepoint Enterprise
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Security Operations team
  • Assist in the development of solutions and solving complex/unique problems with regards to Cradlepoint ’ s Attack Surface
  • Document and report on security activities, incidents, and trends for management review and analysis
  • Assist in the execution of departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities and contribute to the Attack Surface Management functional strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective implementation of security policies and procedures
  • Assist in the deployment of Attack Surface Management monitoring and testing tools including Vulnerability and Application security management
  • Operate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Vulnerability Management
  • Participate in security awareness and training initiatives to promote a strong security culture within the organization
  • Conduct research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's security posture
  • Assist in the development and documentation of a targeted Threat Intelligence program centered on Cradlepoint Enterprise


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities as part of a team, maintaining a high level of organization and focus on shared objectives
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a collaborative mindset to find effective solutions
  • Familiarity with common security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners) and concepts (e.g., firewalls, encryption, authentication), and an eagerness to work together with the team to expand your knowledge and contribute to ongoing projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to actively engage with team members and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment
  • A passion for learning and adapting in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving industry, and a willingness to support your team members as you grow together
  • Basic knowledge of information security principles, best practices, and technologies, with a willingness to actively collaborate and share your insights with team members


Bonus Points


  • Zero to Two (0- 2) years leading or working in a collaborative team environment
  • Zero to Two (0- 2) years experience with scripting and development languages (Python, PowerShell)

Your Pay


The hourly rate for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.


  • $15.12 - $24.84
