Description

Pipeworks Studios seeks a UI Artist that loves to deliver great user experiences and stay up to date with UX design best practices and trends.

As a UI Artist, you will be part of a large AAA project that needs a UI artist to implement innovative and interesting UI designs.

Day To Day

Responsibilities

• Take direction and work as a production artist.
• Work with Engineering and Design to collaborate on turning mockups into functional in-game art.
• Actively participate in artistic, design, and technical problem solving.
• Work with Design to translate project and user requirements into full-fledged user experiences.
• Work on creating new assets for projects while matching each game's style and design guidelines.
• Create mockups, user flow diagrams, and interactive prototypes to convey complex interactions.

Demonstrated Ability To

• Understand the need for great user experience.
• Make quality decisions within a project.
• Provide accurate estimates for planning and adapt design direction based on project needs.
• Work with other artists to achieve project goals.
• Understand how users interact with games and devise the best way to deliver on their actions.

Skills Knowledge And Expertise

Must Haves

• Entry level understanding of motion graphics style animation
• Strong interest in the industry and a desire to make games.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Entry Level understanding of 3D fundamentals
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator.
• Excellent graphic design skills (design, layout, and typography)
• Organized and detailed with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-To-Have Skills

• Understanding of 3D art and motion graphics
• Illustration skills

Education & Experience Required

HS Diploma required, degree in related field preferred. Must have a base foundation of graphic design/motion graphics with a minimum of 1 of experience in a similar role.

Materials Required

Candidate should provide portfolio of art that they have created or directed and a resume detailing the projects/studios that they have been a part of. An art test may be required.
