Job Summary And Mission


This role provides the opportunity to help shape the future of Starbucks, driving targeted action to optimize the store experience for our retail partners and customers! We are seeking candidates who want to be part of a dynamic team focused on the expansion and scaling of Store Health Pyramid and the future of Retail-facing reporting at Starbucks. You will identify key issues, partner with cross-functional teams to conduct analyses, develop and communicate management level recommendations, and implement programs and initiatives that drive the business forward in analytics and decision-making. You will leverage data to drive decisions in support of the enterprise. Key Responsibilities And Capabilities


Innovation leadership


  • Comfortable persevering through complex and often ambiguous implementation paths

  • Shapes and supports recommendations for innovation and risk-taking


Project Execution


  • Communicates progress and manages expectations with key stakeholders at all levels; knows when to escalate roadblocks
  • Participates in Store Health Pyramid solution designs with teams focused on large cross-functional processes that will drive business transformation, always keeping store operator experience front and center
  • Collaborates with colleagues all working on initiatives to address simplification of Store Health Pyramid processes, working through any cross-project touchpoints and dependencies with other program teams
  • Leads complex projects from idea to implementation by setting vision and engaging cross-functional and intra-organizational teams to achieve shared goals
  • Ensures the program progresses by identifying and resolving cross-functional risks or decisions required to enable the delivery of the program


Business Acumen


  • Understands retail P&L levers and contributes to business case creation (size of prize, margin impact, total profit contribution) for projects and programs
  • Identifies tensions and trade-offs between opportunities and risks, revenue and margin, customer and partner, etc.; provides recommendations based on cost-benefit analyses


Insight to Strategy

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and create strategy in new spaces
  • Distills and prioritizes research learnings to generate strategic direction that can translate to executable tactics
  • Data analysis and modeling capabilities
  • Project management experience
  • Understands role & needs of end-users and synthesizes qualitative and quantitative data to uncover opportunities
  • Experience understanding, managing, and cultivating their stakeholder communities
  • Experience creating & delivering management-level presentations
  • Experience in retail operations, store development and/or strategic consulting


Qualifications


  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Knowledge and capabilities with data organization and visualization tools (Smartsheet, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) preferred
  • 3 years Project management skills for large and complex problems
  • 5 years general business experience in large, multi-disciplinary organizations
  • MBA or equivalent experiences preferred
