L.L.Bean is searching for a Retail Associate Store Manager, Head of Visual Merchandising for our Lynnhaven Mall store located in Virginia Beach, VA.
This highly important role brings the L.L.Bean brand to life through compelling merchandise presentations and visual execution across the entire store. This Associate Store Manager of Visual Merchandising drives department performance through quick reaction to business performance, ensures delivery of the legendary L.L.Bean customer experience for an outdoor lifestyle concept retail store, and promotes the company's core values of Outdoor Heritage, Integrity, Service, Respect, Perseverance and Safe and Healthy Living to ensure the integrity of the brand, culture and mission of L.L.Bean is upheld at all times.
Relevant Store Sales Volume experience: $3-6M/annually
Responsibilities:
- Trains and develops employees, recognizing achievements
- Drives and communicates consistent priorities regarding visual merchandising
- Analyzes reports and uses business acumen to make smart decisions to drive sales
- Delivers legendary world-class customer service and ensures staff does the same
- Leads and executes compliance with Loss Prevention policies and procedures
- Ensures store provides an excellent brand experience for customers following suggested visual merchandising plans
- Working with the Store Manager, contributes to the recruitment and hiring of employees for areas of coverage
- Actively drives and promotes the Learn, Try, Buy and Enjoy experience
- Ensures timely and accurate execution of store marketing directives, including promotion and pricing needs
- Addresses employee issues/conflicts and provide input, feedback and coaching
- Ensures merchandise plans are implemented and seasonal floor set directives are executed accurately and on time.
- Plans and executes Floorsets on a timely basis

Education Level: 2-Year Associates Degree
Years of Experience: 3+
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Proven leadership skills with the capability of developing and motivating employees
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to achieve sales and service goals
- Ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm, motivation and a positive attitude
- Established time management and organizational skills
- Capable of building strong partnerships and working collaboratively to achieve goals
- Experience in all aspects of Retail leadership, service, operations and visual merchandising of apparel
- Associate's degree or equivalent with at least 3+ years of apparel retail management experience in relevant traffic and volume Retailer
- Previous/current Store Manager experience strongly preferred
