JOB SUMMARY


This is an entry-level technical role. The Associate Software Engineer supports the selection, design, and implementation of critical components of technology to support Marriott International's consumer first strategy. This role will assist in integrating and advancing our technology platforms in alignment with our core business objectives and technical architecture.


This role receives work direction from senior technical leaders to deliver projects to successful completion, while maintaining scope within the time and budget constraints. In addition, it is expected that this role provides innovative and creative insights to solutions. The Associate Software Engineer will be leveraged to support implementation and testing as needed.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Experience in developing software
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification

Preferred:

  • Technology certifications
  • Experience with service provider environment
  • Experience in Agile methodologies

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Coordinates with appropriate IT and vendor relations teams as assigned
  • Complies with defined development and business case processes
  • May provide consultation for routine systems development
  • Participates in requirements and code reviews
  • Delivers assigned projects as expected
  • Coordinates with Operations and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support activities
  • Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects.

IT Governance

  • Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk
  • Follows the defined project management standards and processe
  • Follows all defined IT standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, SDLC, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed

Service Provider Management

  • Assists in facilitation of timely resolution of service delivery problems to minimize the impact to clients
  • May provide input to estimates of work effort

The salary range for this position is $64,480.00 to $131,705.00 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $61,613.00 to $119,734.00 annually.

New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $74,550.00 to $131,705.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $65,478.40 to $131,705.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
