We are seeking a Associate Quality Engineer to join our growing team in Redmond, WA.

This individual will provide program quality engineering support for assigned contracted programs. Will also plan methods to verify conformance with customer specifications and engineering requirements.

This position may be filled at this level or one level higher.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
30% - Utilizes engineering background and knowledge to communicate between team members and customer counterparts to provide assurance that the hardware is compliant to specifications. Handles and communicates deviations/non-conformances at different levels within the organization. Understands and communicates typical aerospace processes (machining, welding, NDT, etc.) and how they are applied to the hardware being manufactured.

20% - Applies modern quality principles, concepts, and methods to aerospace and manufacturing operation, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.

20% - Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, customer quality requirements, and company quality requirements to ensure compliance with the customer's expectations.

20% - Prepares comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports and presentations for customer review throughout the evaluation process. Reviews all supplier data and ensures that it is complete and accurate before the data is reviewed by the customer.

10% - Interfaces with the Material Review Board (MRB) to provide technical justification when a nonconformance to mutually agreed specifications is determined.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: -Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related technical discipline.

Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively establish positive working relationships with various operational groups, all levels of employees, suppliers, and customers. Exposure to product development in a multi-functional team environment is desired.

Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
Pay range for this position:: 60,500 - 84,500 per year Note about pay range:: Pay range for this job level is a general guideline only for California and/or Washington State and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
