Role description:

You will be joining a talented team of professionals that focus on delivering outstanding client service helping them program, plan, and deliver their capital projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support large public works projects in the city of Boston. The position will deal with facility Infrastructure and Capital Improvements, Construction Modernization, Expansion and Renovations, Equipment and System Replacement, and other high value facility maintenance and repair projects. We seek candidates that want to change the industry through determination, education, and leadership.

Role accountabilities:

  • Monitor contractor progress against baseline schedule.
  • Reports regularly on progress of projects to senior members of the team and informs of potential risks, delays, or issues.
  • Holds project meetings as required and disseminate information and action items.
  • Verify inspection and testing is performed and documented.
  • Maintaining and catalogue inspection records, photos, and shop drawings.

  • Project coordination among all parties and stakeholders.
  • Ability to support several projects at the same time.
  • Assist with the planning of projects and construction from initiation to completion.
  • Contribute to culture of health and safety on the project.
  • Manage project procurement activities.
  • Perform civil inspections on site.
  • Assists with the review of contractor change order requests.
  • Assists team with adherence to project budget, timeline, and quality control plans.
  • Assists with the review and approve contractor pay applications.
  • Provide proactive planning and project management to assist project teams.
  • Manages project turnover documents and project closeout.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Desire to maintain and expand upon the current base of knowledge related to evolving technologies and advances in construction practices and methodologies.
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and be capable of anticipating, analyzing, appraising, evaluating, and resolving problems.
  • Be organized, deliberate and thorough, with the ability to relate complex processes and concepts to a variety of team and owner staff.
  • Familiarity and working expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.
  • The ability to interpret and understand construction documentation including plans, specifications, contracts, and related addenda.
  • Professional customer relationship skills and sensitivity to customer satisfaction.

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $61,200 - $105,570 per year.
