Primary Responsibilities:
  • Must use given site information to provide best-practice superstructure and foundation designs.
  • Provides technical support to sales personnel and customers concerning any questions relating to the design, manufacture, delivery, or installation of bridges.
  • Must be able to communicate with contractors, owners, regulatory agencies, and other engineering firms to ensure all project specifications are met.
  • Work closely with contractors, technicians, and other engineers to ensure all team members understand their specific job functions and expectations. Presenting any issues with the team to senior management.
  • Must gather data for permit applications, submitting documentation to officials and making sure that change orders are logged and submitted to personnel throughout the construction process.
  • Must maintain engineering standards, policies, best practices and procedures a constantly.
  • Prepare progress reports and present them to engineers and other personnel.
  • Must visit sites to take measurements, answer contractor questions on behalf of the supervising engineer.
  • Will serve as mediator between engineering and construction personnel.
  • Must work with the drafting team to ensure all relevant design details are included in project submittal drawings and fabrication sheets.
  • Must prepare project reports.
  • Must apply appropriate standards and specifications such as AASHTO, Aci, AISC, DOT, ADM, IBC, and any other structural codes as needed
  • Prepares calculations packages, review submittals and shop drawings for release to the customer.
  • Provide direct support and oversight of project elements, with as major focus on field work and the construction team.
  • Compare project schedules and budgets and report on any potential delays or issues during construction.
  • Daily duties can vary depending on the project needs.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently but have the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work/education experience, in Civil Engineering or related field
  • G-suite software to include DOCS, Sheets, Gmail, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office & Acrobat software

  • Hours: 7:00am-5:30pm EST
Overtime as needs arise.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00 - $77,700.00 per year
