Job Description

Holy Family Church, South Pasadena is seeking a full-time associate director of Faith Formation, Coordinator of Youth Ministry and Confirmation. The coordinator draws learners into responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community, develops close communication with and mutual support from families of youth, and collaborates with other community and parish youth organizations. Ideally, the young people and their families are nurtured to become joyful disciples of Jesus Christ. This position also includes the preparation of high school teens for the Sacrament of Confirmation, Youth and Middle School ministry, as well as supporting the overall mission of Life Long Disciples of Jesus Christ.

Requirements

College Degree
Passion for and ability to engage with middle and high school youth
National Certificate in Youth Ministry, and Catholic Leadership Institute training from Archdiocese (or willingness to complete these two programs)
Excellent administrative/secretarial/office skills
Excellent computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel on mission trips, nationally and internationally
Meet the Safeguard the Children Requirements, Archdiocesan Guidelines, Virtus, and LiveScan

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
