The Associate Designer will create and modify product designs; partner with team to conceptualize and provide ideation sketches, material specifications and trim details in line with market trends and product development timelines.

  • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Assist with presentation preparation for milestone meetings: material boards, trend & color decks, digital CAD wall files.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
  • Assist during design-driven meetings & presentations - set up/tear down, take accurate notes.
  • Creates and executes color cads using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Organize and prepare designer specifications and product information to provide for the timely and efficient development process.
  • Assist in researching market and fashion trends to formulate the direction of new designs.
  • Assist and maintain updates to Material Library.
  • Participates with design leadership, product development and marketing to collaborate on design projects.
  • Refines existing designs as needed or as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Ability to effectively communicate visually through sketches, illustrations and renderings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong computer skills – 3D, Photo-shop software and Adobe Illustrator
  • Ability to visualize finished product.
  • 1+ years of footwear design experience preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborating with a team.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment.
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
