This position requires a hybrid in-office work arrangement with the ability to work 3 days per week in a UKG office (Weston – FL).

About the Associate Cloud Engineer Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as an Associate Cloud Engineer. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates with around 1 year of experience in cloud technologies. As an Associate Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with our senior cloud engineers to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Document processes, procedures, and technical configurations.
  • Collaborate with the team to deploy and manage cloud-based applications and services.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the evaluation and adoption of new cloud technologies and services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud security best practices.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization activities.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with cloud concepts, including virtualization, storage, networking, and security.
  • Experience in Windows OS, IIS, AD, and PowerShell
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and configuration management (e.g., TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Previous internship(s) or professional experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or PowerShell) for automation and scripting purposes.
  • Ability to work on-site in one of UKG’s office locations a minimum of 3 days per week. Locations - Weston, FL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance
  • Ability to successfully work within a team and manage a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Positive team player attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant certifications in cloud technologies Google Cloud Certified - Associate Cloud Engineer).
  • Knowledge of database technologies, such as MS SQL, MYSQL, and\or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as Kafka, Kibana, and Grafana
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and how to connect with remote systems.
