Position Summary:
The Associate Brand Manager of Innovation will be a key member of the Edgewell Grooming Marketing team by bringing ideas to life in support of building upon its strong portfolio of brands. This role will create positioning, packaging, and go-to-market plans for new products, as well as collaborate with the cross-functional teams to ensure that the products are developed competitively and ready for on-time launch. Accountabilities:
Lead cross functional team members in creating an agile product development plan for all new product and renovation projects. This includes assisting in timeline development, consumer research, product claims development, and operations/supply chain launch support;
Assist Sr. Brand Manager in building business cases that outline BU opportunity and risks, as well as highlight prospective financial performance for each new product (including forecasting and profitability);
Work with Brand Activation team to build launch plan and provide input in new product marketing assets / campaigns;
Collaborate with the Design team in product naming and packaging development;
Partner with the Sales team to help develop compelling innovation and sell-in presentations for key retailers as well as identify proactive opportunities to expand the business;
Identify key grooming trends, learnings, and competitive new product launches to actively identify new product and renovation opportunities;
Manage the Product Development/Innovation group budget, providing regular updates of spending versus budget as well as communicating any significant deviances from plan
Required Education, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business or Marketing related discipline;
2+ years CPG experience having directly supported a brand with commercialization responsibilities;
Desirable Education, Skills and Experience
MBA preferred;
Strong commercial awareness and familiarity with latest marketing trends and best practices;
Demonstrated working experience in product development and/or commercialization;
Ability to conduct competitive analysis that identifies competitor strategies, strengths and weaknesses;
Self-motivated and goal-oriented; ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team members and various key stakeholders;
Ability to recognize opportunities for improvements and proactively offer ideas for those opportunities;
Excellent organizational skills;
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects autonomously in a challenging, fast-paced environment while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines;
Ability to influence without direct authority;
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills;
Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly matrixed environment;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
