Job Description
Ocean Spray is seeking an Associate Brand Manager on our Foods Innovation team. In this role, you’ll be part of a passionate group of consumer-obsessed marketers looking to drive sustainable growth on our Dried Fruit business. We are looking for someone who is a collaborator, problem solver and ready to innovate to drive business results.
The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for identifying key consumer insights/need gaps and defining the best way to bring them to market. You will lead cross-functional teams from product platform ideation all the way to in market. Additionally, you will manage the P&L for respective platforms and track in-market performance for success. This position requires someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and eager to play a critical role on our Foods team.
Position location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or in our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead development and execution of product platform(s) including product development, packaging design, pricing, positioning and customer sell in
  • Collaborate with Innovation Marketing Manager to deliver portfolio growth and the creation of multi-year Innovation pipeline, deliver a compelling mix grounded in consumer-validated learnings
  • Partner with R&D and Culinary Team to translate concept ideas into product deliverables
  • Work with sales and insights teams to deliver best-in-class monthly Innovation forecast accuracy. Track in-market performance to ensure meeting identified KPIs
  • Manage project P&Ls, managing overall innovation budget including A&P spending for assigned product responsibility
  • Develop and present presentations to leadership as part of the Stage Gate process.
  • Partner with Go-to-market and Sales teams to develop strong sell-in materials for retailers
  • Assess key market/competitor dynamics, customer, and consumer trends to stay abreast of competitive landscape and opportunity gaps to identify innovation trajectory and growth opportunities
  • Partner with Insights team to bring together trends, analytic data and consumer learnings into actionable plans and relevant retailer sell-in presentations
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to link strategies and objectives to develop a plan
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at one-time
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (food/beverage or CPG Marketing preferred)
  • Passionate and curious
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to partner and solve problems by leveraging multiple function support
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA Preferred
  • Strong presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories and in presenting them at all levels within partner, customer, and internal organization
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Keen strategic thinking, collaboration, problem solving, teaming, and project execution skills
  • Travel 10%
