ORB 290.1, Business Law

Fall Semester 2023 , 8/28/23 -12/16/23. M/W 7:00 p.m. to 8:40 p.m.

Moraga Campus

The course introduces students to the history, philosophies, and structure of the U.S. legal system, and then focuses on the central elements of that system to which they are likely to be exposed during their business careers. It includes common legal topics relevant to business, such as contracts, business torts, agency law, and business forms (e.g., partnerships and corporations).

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Organizational Behavior, Management, Leadership, Strategy or a closely related field and a current publication record in the field

  • Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. This position requires all course work to be performed in the state of California. Candidates must perform all course-related work within the state of California.

The salary range for this position is $6,480 -$10,008 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
