Job Title: Assistant Video Editor


We are seeking a talented and skilled Video Editor to join our TV studio's post-production team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and assembling raw footage into engaging, compelling, and visually stunning content for various television programs. Your creative abilities, technical expertise, and attention to detail will play a critical role in delivering high-quality productions that captivate our audience.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Edit and craft video content for television programs, including but not limited to news broadcasts, documentaries, talk shows, interviews, promotional spots, and advertisements.
  • Utilize professional video editing software and hardware to enhance video quality, adjust color, add visual effects, and optimize audio.
  • Continuously stay updated on the latest industry trends, editing techniques, and software advancements to improve skills and enhance production value.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects when necessary to enhance the visual appeal of the final product.
  • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and preserving the overall creative vision of each project.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to video and audio quality during the editing process.
  • Organize and manage media files, maintaining a structured and efficient workflow in the post-production pipeline.
  • Ensure that the final output adheres to the TV studio's branding guidelines and quality standards.
  • Review and select the best shots and sequences to create a cohesive and impactful narrative.
  • Collaborate with producers, directors, and other team members to understand project requirements and creative vision.


Requirements:


  • Creativity and innovation in approaching each project to ensure high-quality output.
  • A keen eye for detail, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Proven experience as a Video Editor in a professional setting, preferably in a TV studio or media production company.
  • Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing past video editing projects and demonstrating versatility in different genres and styles.
  • Knowledge of color grading, audio mixing, and sound design techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, take direction, and incorporate feedback from various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects software is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet strict deadlines efficiently.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Video Editing, Broadcasting, or a related field or relevant work experience
