The Assistant Title Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and support to the Business Office in the preparation and processing of DMV documents and title paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax and title documents
• Maintain log of license and emblem numbers
• Prepare notice of transfers to DMV
• Mail out registration and title to customers and/or financial institution
• Correspond with customers to obtain signatures as needed
• Distribute license plates to sales department
• Distribute plates and prepare letters notifying customers
• Maintain files of copies of registration and titles
• Deliver and pickup materials and files to DMV office, financial institutions or other locations as needed
• Prepare and post journal entries as needed
• Submit all legal transfer documents to the DMV
• Maintain log of temporary plates

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a related role preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
