Responsibilities

Assists with the management and development of staff. Assists with oversight of and accountability for quality and service, regulatory compliance, work unit safety, strategic planning, document management, and developing and implementing new services. Works cooperatively with a wide variety of customers, as well as internal and external resources. Completes special projects as assigned by the laboratory consultant/director(s), administrator and/or operations manager(s), and DLMP supervisor.


Qualifications

In the non-testing laboratories (Laboratory Services, Central Processing, Microbiology Initial Processing, Preparation and Processing, Autotransfusion, IMPACT, Hematopathology Support Lab, Operational Support Unit, MML Operations, and Donor Services) and Histopathology laboratories: Bachelor's degree, preferably in CLS/MLS/MT, management/business, sciences or health related field and three years of laboratory or management experience. Must have demonstrated leadership, communication (oral and written) and problem solving ability. Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently. Requires human relations skills to influence and motivate others.

Individuals hired to this position are asked to complete 2 years in the role before being eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic is required.

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position; Also, this position DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

***DLMP employees that have been in their current lab/position for less than 2 years must attach early release approval from their supervisor and Non-DLMP internal applicants that have been in their current department/position for less than one year must attach early release approval from the supervisor.

$75,129.60 - $112,736.00 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
