About Our Client
Our client is one of the fastest growing General Contractors in North Carolina for the past 5 years. They have won numerous awards for their projects and have developed great relationships with clients and subs in the market they serve. The team is seeking an Assistant Project Manager due to growth and will be tasked with assisting in the build of K-12, education, and healthcare projects. Reporting into the Project Manager and the VP/Division Manager, the Assistant Project Manager- K-12/ Healthcare Construction-Raleigh will be responsible for:

• Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
• Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders and maintain them moving forward
• Assist in developing and maintaining the project schedule
• Work with subcontractors - create and maintain positive relationships
• Dictate or prepare project reports for management, client, or others
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly schedule to support and preserve the Contract Project Schedule
• Take part and assist with the pre-planning and conceptual phase
• Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget

The Successful Applicant
The Assistant Project Manager- K-12/ Healthcare Construction-Raleigh will have the following experience:

• Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree is preferred
• Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
• Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
• Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
• 2+ years of Project Engineer or Assistant Project Management experience
• Experience working on commercial construction projects
• Local to Raleigh preferred, though relocators will be considered
