Responsibilities


As an Assistant Project Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to


  • Conducting project review meetings and documenting project status and action items.
  • Assisting the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Handling RFI's, change orders, and other project-related documentation.
  • Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis, managing their expectations and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Drafting and submitting budget proposals, recommending subsequent budget changes when necessary.
  • Assisting in the preparation of project status reports, and keeping the Project Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
  • Coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope, and within budget.


Qualifications


The ideal candidate for the Assistant Project Manager role should possess the following qualifications


  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding and experience with project coordination.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in handling Requests for Information (RFI) and other project-related documentation.
  • Proven experience in civil construction, underground utility construction, concrete infrastructure, and civil sitework.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Assistant Project Manager role or similar within the construction industry.
