YOUTH ADVOCATE Part-Time/Full-Time

Provide direct care for youth and families under the guidance of Case manager and Coordinators. Be a positive role model while treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED. Will need a driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Part time and full-time positions available.

CASE MANAGER

The Case Manager is charged with the responsibility for the physical and emotional well being of the residents of Youth Emergency Services, Inc. Work involves responsibility for the following: safety of the residents; cleanliness of Youth Emergency Services, Inc.; providing a good role model; offering emotional support; and creating a homelike atmosphere in the house. Must be able to change as the job changes.


Qualifications:

GED or High School Diploma and be at least 21 years of age. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Help youth follow the rules of Youth Emergency Services, Inc.
  • Write pertinent information in log and communications notebook and monthly reports.
  • Work as and role model a team member.
  • Communicate with coordinator and therapists concerning youth.
  • Follow all rules/policies of Youth Emergency Services, Inc.
  • Brief incoming staff as necessary.
  • Supervise assigned chores.
  • Supervise and participate in recreational activities of youth.
  • Attend meetings as necessary for smooth operation of Youth Emergency Services, Inc. and to ensure good communication among staff members.
  • Receive new residents and participate in intake process.
  • Supervise personal and laundry needs of the youth.
  • Attend court, Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and develop case plans for assigned clients

This position will conduct, plan and implement the comprehensive facilities and grounds maintenance. Planning, bidding and conducting upgrades and remodeling to include all of the Y.E.S. Inc. Facilities, Grounds, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Landscaping, vehicle fleet needs for the agency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to applicants with any combination of the following:

  • Ability to work in a team environment and be self-directed.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance and planning and implementing a vehicle replacement plan.
  • Certification, degree, license in the trades
  • Facilities management-related training and credentials
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, assess agency needs and provide solutions.
  • Effective communication skills; verbal and written communication skills.
  • Construction and facility repair, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Landscape, Irrigation knowledge, skills and experience.
