Description


Stephens College is seeking a highly organized, student-centered leader with a passion for college athletics to serve as its next Assistant Athletic Director. This is a full-time, 12-month position responsible for supporting and assisting the Athletics Director in managing multiple athletics programs, including but not limited to operations, compliance, training, and recruitment.


Responsibilities


The Assistant AD will assist the Athletic Director in:


  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborating with campus constituents to increase awareness and support for athletic programs, including developing and establishing a campus-wide mentoring program for student athletes.
  • Refining and implementing the strategic direction of the Athletic department.
  • Establishing and supervising an Association of Student Athletes organization, aligning with the athletic department and conference goals.
  • Collaborating with the coaching staff to monitor student-athlete academic status and progress towards degree completion, including coordinating with the Student Success Center to support academic success and retention.
  • Serving as a game day administrator for select home events.
  • Identifying strategic partners who can contribute to athletic program development (i.e., sponsorships etc.).
  • Monitoring the budget, including the scholarship process.
  • Maintaining and annually updating the Student Athlete manual.


Requirements


  • Understanding of and commitment to the mission of the College.
  • Working knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Must meet and maintain Stephens Driver Qualification and Vehicle Safety Policy
  • Strong skills in communication, organization, multi-tasking, efficiency, and customer service
  • Ability to work with a diverse constituency including students, parents, coaches, faculty, staff, administrators and outside contacts
