Pay Range: State Teacher Salary + [8.5% - 16% local supplement]
Position Purpose: To develop students' interest, abilities, talents and skills for artistic expression and creativity in the visual arts, as well as aesthetic understanding and appreciation by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to performing assigned tasks; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. Click to view the Teacher job description.
Minimum Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree (click here for more info about Master's pay) Alternative Licensed Pathways: If you are offered a position with BCS, our licensure specialist can share information on the 1-year Emergency License and later work with you to convert this to a Residency License. Qualifications:
  • 2.7 GPA (undergraduate coursework or post-graduate coursework)
  • Former Lateral Entry license candidates are eligible to apply
  • 18 semester hours of relevant coursework
  • Ability to produce an official, degree dated transcript from an accredited university
  • Bachelor's degree
