Job Scope


Full operational responsibility in assigned fulfillment center department, including but not limited to supervision of the receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping inventory. Directly manages teams of up to 50 associates.


Job Responsibilities


  • Sets performance goals and objectives for associates in defined area of responsibility and establishes and maintain quality control standards. Motivates, mentors and coaching team members to achieve operational performance standards.
  • Collaborates with fulfillment center teams to improve efficiency of processing and shipping orders.
  • Establishes training programs to increase and improve the skills of fulfillment center associates. Assesses the status of associate skills and determines appropriate training to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Follows prescribed legal guidelines and requirements.
  • Audits incoming and out-going freight to ensure accuracy of inventory. Reconciles discrepancy of inventories and processes freight loss requests for replacement.
  • Manages all operational aspects of assigned areas, directly including supervisors employees responsible for receiving, storing and processing freight.
  • Safeguards associates’ safety by promoting and ensuring compliance to health and safety standards.
  • Develops strategic plans for area of responsibility and ensures alignment with fulfillment center goals.


Job Requirements


  • Must have highly developed and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience hiring and leading diverse teams.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with fulfillment center associates.
  • 5 years of experience managing a fulfillment center operation is required.
  • Must have proven ability to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to complex problems.
  • Must have proven ability to collaborate with others to understand and complete project goals.
  • Must have the ability to balance budgets and audit freight inventories.
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work effectively and collaboratively across various departments to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime, including weekends, holiday and/or night shifts.
  • Must have strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing timelines effectively.
  • Must have excellent time management and decision-making skills and be able to prioritize and organize tasks and projects.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills and be able to professionally interact with employees at all levels of the company.


Education/ Licensing/Certification


  • Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Operations or a related field or any combination of education


Base Salary Range: $48,000 - $60,000

Physical Requirements


This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
