  • The focus will be on assuring compliance with state and federal preservation laws related to properties applying for the National Register of Historic Places and Part 1 of Federal Historic Tax Credit program, or involved in historic surveys.
  • Assist in review and processing of nominations of eligible cultural resources to the National Register of Historic Places; evaluate identified resources, assess eligibility and provide recommendations, advise property owners and project contacts how to revise their applications or proposals to be consistent with federal standards.
  • Monitor preservation grants for architectural surveys and National Register nominations
  • Contribute to Missouri's architectural survey program, which identifies and evaluates historic properties across the state. Review and comment on select incoming architectural surveys and work towards the development of the architectural survey program.
  • Provide occasional coverage of other programs as needed, including assistance with state-held preservation easements and covenants.
