We are seeking an Architect to join our motivated and exciting Architecture practice in our New York City office. We are looking for candidates with a strong design sensibility who have experience in the design and development of large, complex projects.

Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Generating conceptual design ideas
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team
• Attending meetings and communicating with clients to establish their needs
• Coordinating work with multi-disciplinary design teams
• Support Arup’s Architecture business to develop ongoing opportunities in the design and delivery of projects of significant scale and complexity.
• Support the production of drawings and reports. Preparing and coordinating specifications
• Develop design concepts through Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents
• Producing project related correspondence and reports

Qualifications

• Have working knowledge of relevant architectural software including Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Suite
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• Have the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate
• Excellent representational skills and storytelling ability
• Bachelors Degree in Architecture

• Support Arup’s US business to develop ongoing opportunities in the design and delivery of projects of significant scale and complexity.
• Have multidisciplinary problem-solving approach and “Total Design” mentality
• Proactively engage with clients to prepare high quality, technically efficient and cost effective solutions
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, engineering partners and sub-consultants.
• Seek creative and innovative solutions and encourage technical collaboration and learning

New York City Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York City is 88,800 to 115,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of New York City will differ.
