Details about this Career

The primary responsibility of the Arborist Sales Representative is to sell and retain services to help grow the Weller Brothers organization while ensuring all properties exceed customer expectations.

Job Requirements

  • Creates vertical market development plans; make recommendations regarding actions, including cooperative selling efforts.
  • Maintain company vehicle
  • Provide assistance in managing crew members as needed including performance management, addressing complaints, and planning, assigning or directing workload.
  • Make decisions that are in the best interest of the company.
  • Promote The Weller Brothers Way through demonstration of our Roots, Safety, Quality, Communication, Win The Day.
  • Monitor production (time/expenses) with Division Manager and production team and provide avenues to improve bottom line.
  • Participate in various events, organizations, and industry associations for the purpose of building relationships.
  • Develop community ties to enhance the brand of Weller Brothers.
  • Provide excellent organizational management, leadership, and communication between client and production team.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with production staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (snow removal).
  • Prepare and present proposals in a timely and professional manner, according to company standards. Track all proposals in progress and aggressively pursue and follow-up to closure.
  • Develop strong positive relationships with customers based upon clear, frequent, effective, professional, and timely communication, mutual trust and ability to meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Execute site audits to provide enhancement and/or maintenance opportunities to the client and to provide feedback to the production teams.
  • Make certain that property meets or exceeds the customer’s expectation and the company’s expectation in terms of appearance and beauty.
  • Identify job site priorities and/or coordination of job site schedules.
  • Trains, mentors, and coaches the sales staff in effective tactics to attain team goals.
  • Manage the sales process from opportunity targeting through sale and transition to Account Manager and/or Designer.
  • Keep and submit all receipts for material and fuel purchased.
  • Other duties needed to help drive and fulfill the Weller Brothers Mission.
  • Report time and productivity daily using LMN and/or Real Green.
  • Retain and sell landscape maintenance contracts. Upsell plant health care, arbor, enhancement, and/or snow removal services.
  • Assist with creating performance plans, assess performance and provide performance feedback.
  • Put in the hours necessary to make sure the job is getting done on time including weekend and holidays if necessary.
