Department Description:


  • Warner Music Nashville A&R is the first point of contact in the signing of new and exciting artists. Scouting outstanding talent is a critical function of this department, and continued evaluation of music releases is vital for an artist’s sustained growth and development. The emergence of new platforms for artist discovery necessitates an immediate and efficient process for assessing our next superstars. Once identified, the A&R department works to sign, develop, and release music to bring an artist’s story to all parts of the world.

  • Interface with relevant departments outside of A&R
  • Communicate with on-roster artist managers and artists
  • Liaise with A&R team to build a comprehensive view of new artist potential
  • Track real-time on roster artist music releases in the streaming and social space
  • Identify unsigned artists that show potential for unusual fan growth and engagement
  • Use WMN proprietary software to contextualize a large sampling of outstanding artists
  • Deliver information with a predictive perspective (not just informative)
  • Utilize public-facing platform data to deliver customized artist evaluations

Special Requirements/Preferences:


  • Experience with R, SQL, Python, Tableau
  • Familiarity with music tracking platforms including Luminate Music Connect, Mediabase, BDS, Streaming Provider Dashboards, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel - Vlookups, pivot tables, formulas and data visualization are your jam


Education Required:


  • College degree preferred


Salary Range


Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
