State of Connecticut Judicial Branch
Enfield
The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking an Apprentice Printer for the Commission on Official Legal Publications (COLP). This individual would be responsible for assisting with daily production. We seek a hardworking and reliable candidate with strong attention to detail and accuracy who takes pride in producing a quality work product.
Examples Of Duties
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Packaging and mailing using FedEx, USPS, and State Courier Service.
  • Manual bindery operations.
  • Sharp eye for detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs.
  • Set-up, adjustment, operation, and maintenance of various printing equipment.
  • Produce quality printed work according to established production standards.
  • Processing of Branch wide mail using inserting equipment.
  • Setup of press jobs using imposition software and plate processing.
  • Operate all bindery related duties, to include folding, cutting, stitching, drilling, banding and boxing.
  • Operation of digital high-speed printers.
Salary Range: $44,097 - $56,102/year – plus State of Connecticut benefits.
New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.
Experience And Training
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or technical school or any combination of education, experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
