Application Engineer Jobs

We are partnered with an award winning Autonomous Vehicle Technology company that are developing cutting edge camera technology that can be applied to the automotive, farming, maritime or rail sectors.

As they are growing, they are looking for a talented Application Engineer to join their growing team in Boston. The Engineer be tasked with developing, improving, and maintaining the companies world-class demos and developers kit. They will write code utilizing their core computer vision technology, the applicant will also be responsible for working with a variety of hardware, integrating components at a systems level, and demonstration activities in the field.

Another element of the role is being responsible for the Hardware Developers Kit (HDK), this comprises all of the software and hardware that is required for customers to test the product.

The ideal candidate will have or be:

• Experience coding with Python/C++/git/ROS
• Computer vision experience is a bonus
• Hardware experience: mounting cameras on extruded aluminum rails, soldering cables, light machining, and has used 3D CAD to get 3D printed or CNC-machined parts
• Strong communication skills and good at writing clear and concise technical documents
• BSc in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related area
• 2+ years work experience
