Job Description
Summary


Under direct supervision, Application Analyst I’s are the primary support contact for the application. They coordinate all issues that arise during the project and during support for their application area while adhering to MyMichigan Health’s policies, procedures, and business operations. Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and review and test software. Serves as a liaison between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation and support staff. Provides subject-matter expertise for one or more application modules.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Assists in cross training team members and users.
  • Trouble shoots problems and incidents. Recommends innovative solutions.
  • Uses a strong understanding of business systems and industry requirements to work with business owners and users to document requirements and workflows. Design and maintain content and key system controls (codes tables, master files, user’s interfaces etc.).
  • Plans, executes, and documents supporting evidence of application testing.
  • Analyzes application capabilities to optimize its use within workflows.
  • Participates in additional projects including software updates and changes.
  • Collects information regarding potential system enhancement needs and analyzes new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used.


Other Duties And Responsibilities


Provide excellent customer service to all customers while performing duties.Lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists, and manage a project plan.


Demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills.


Communicate effectively with project leadership and subject matter expertise.


Continue to learn the software and increase their knowledge over time.

Required Education, Experience, Training & Skills


Bachelor’s Degree in IT, business, or healthcare field or Associate’s Degree with three (3) or more years of work related experiences providing advanced application system support.


Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate at multiple organization levels across the health system as required.


Preferred Education, Experience, Training & Skills


Epic trained and / or certified.


Project management experience.


Physical/Mental Requirements And Typical Working Conditions


Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.


Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.


Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.


Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s).


Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.


May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.


Some exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material.


Must follow MyMichigan Health blood-borne pathogen and TB testing as required.


Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.


Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling.


May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.


Physical Demand Level: Sedentary.


Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 0-10 lbs.
