Job Description
Hildreth Elementary School seeks a speech-language pathologist for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will possess certification as an SLP. Qualifications: ~ American Speech and Hearing Association certification (ASHA)~ MA State Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology~ At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred~ Master degree preferred~ Citizenship, residency, or work VISA in United States requiredResponsibilities: This position will provide direct services, consultation, conduct assessments and evaluations, and participate in the eligibility determination and goal setting process for students with disabilities. Additional district support may be assigned as needed, including out-of-district evaluations for district (resident) students.
This teacher would also consult with special education and general education teachers about best practices for instructing and assessing students, provide direct services to meet IEP goals (including both individual and group support and instruction), screening and evaluation reports for students, participate in IEP meetings, write portions of IEPs relevant to services, and complete IEP progress reports for services. This role serves as the liaison for students who receive only speech/language services.Additionally, the successful candidate for this position will support the social and pragmatic language development of students with diverse needs in the elementary grades, and will support student learners in the advancement of language skills across the school curriculum.
