Atlantic K9 Training is a privately owned and operated full-service dog training school in Boxford, MA. We offer private and group training lessons, boot camp services, daycare and boarding, and breeding of German Shepherds and Jack Russell Terriers. We specialize in individualized K9 programs and training methods that utilize positive reinforcement techniques to improve the relationship between dogs and their owners.

This position is for individuals who want to learn everything there is to know about dogs in a structured and safe environment. You will be surrounded every day by our trainers who will routinely provide knowledge about dog behavior, dog body language, pack play, obedience training, and so much more! Our supportive staff will train new employees to learn our methods to provide personal and attentive care to each and every daycare, boarding, and bootcamp dog! Some key responsibilities include:

• Rotating groups of dogs in and out of the play yards and documenting their daily schedules
• Picking up and dropping off clients’ dogs (using a personal vehicle is sometimes required)
• Understanding each dog’s typical behavior and having the ability to recognize abnormal behavior
• Working together as a team to schedule each dog’s training walk based upon the day
• Greeting clients at drop off and pick up
• Checking dogs in and out for boarding and daycare
• Feeding and administering medication for all dogs under our care
• Thoroughly looking over each dog when they come inside from their group training and play time
• Going for off leash pack walks on our 10-acre property
• Choosing the perfect kennel for each dog and communicating important information and special instructions provided by the owner
• Cleaning of assigned areas
• Building trusting relationships with clients and their dogs
• Placing dogs into play groups that match their temperament, size, and individual personality
