Client: Meijer Corporation Job Title: Android Developer Location: 100% Remote Terms: 8 month contract with an opportunity to extend Rate: $55/hr.C2C Must have: - Google Play presence (App URLs) - Experience in Android SDK and good understanding on advanced Android concepts - Strong Java experience with some Kotlin is preferred - If no Kotlin experience, Sr level Java is required - Experience implementing MVVM pattern - Experience writing unit tests - RestAPI integration to consume data, Java, Retrofit Nice to have: - Experience with Unidirectional Data Flow (UDF) pattern - - Azure DevOps and CICD experience - Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools Responsibilities: - A self-starter and self-directed once the strategy, architecture, and roadmap are aligned. - Able to find opportunities to add value and execute solutions. - Maintain awareness of technology trends and issues and apply that knowledge to app development. - Take ownership of your work through all phases. Requirements: - Strong experience in JAVA/Kotlin and in-depth knowledge of Android SDK - The ideal candidate should have experience implementing MVVM pattern and knowledge of Unidirectional Data Flow (UDF). - Extensive experience integrating with Rest APIs to consume data. - Experience implementing Java, Retrofit in projects. - Experience writing unit testing and experience with UI testing using Espresso, Appium or similar - Write efficient and maintainable code - Work productively in a diverse and dynamic/agile environment - Excellent communication skills
