Key Job Responsibilities:

Union Pacific is looking for an Analyst to join our Finance team in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is an individual-contributor role and reports to the Finance director. A successful candidate should enjoy a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and be a team player. They should be detail oriented and have excellent multi-tasking, prioritization, and communication skills.

What you Bring:

As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work in payroll, accounts payable, revenue accounting, property and contract billing, financial reporting, budgeting, or financial review.

Accountabilities

  • Analyze revenue and payment process and operating routines to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Identify expense reduction or cash recovery opportunities.
  • Develop recommendations and strategies involving marketing, operating, legal, real estate, corporate, financial, accounting and/or strategic issues.
  • Safeguard the Company’s assets by monitoring compliance with established policies and procedures, analyzing financial and/or operating data.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses on a variety of business issues.
  • Enhance systems or processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required
  • A Bachelor's degree (or obtain one by January or June 2023)
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills

Work Conditions

  • 18 years of age or older
