Algorithm Engineer - Deep Learning & Computer Vision


Do you enjoy everyday challenges and a flexible work environment? Our high-performance algorithm team is developing cutting edge machine learning and microscopy image analysis software and technologies.


Your Responsibilities


As a key member of the algorithm development team of the Leica Aivia AI image analysis software (https://www.leica-microsystems.com/products/microscope-software/p/aivia/), you will develop, improve, and test innovative machine learning, image processing, pattern recognition and statistical-analysis algorithms for AI-enabled microscopy image analysis applications. You will have the opportunity to formulate, develop and implement:


  • 2D/3D image analysis and computer vision technologies and functions
  • Deep learning and machine learning technologies and functions for knowledge creation, deployment and applications
  • 2D/3D pattern tracking and kinetic analysis technologies and functions
  • Speed up and improve existing core technology algorithms and functions for optimal deployment


YOUR PROFILE


  • Strong knowledge of C++/C# programming and/or python scripting
  • Working experience in machine learning and deep learning
  • Strong command in 2D & 3D image processing, and computer vision
  • Strong background in pattern recognition and statistical analysis
  • Master of Science degree
  • Working background in developing microscopy or industrial image analysis algorithms
  • Field of study: Electrical engineering, imaging science, computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 3D volume/surface rendering, visualization, and graphics
  • Object tracking, kinetic analysis, and multiple view geometry
