Airframe Mechanic:
As a government contractor, Vertex Aerospace requires all employees to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment in accordance with Executive Order 14042. Exceptions to this policy are granted on a case-by-case basis for those that request a religious or medical accommodation. A vaccination status form and proof of vaccination, if applicable, are required.
The employee shall obtain and maintain designation as, but not limited to Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI)/ Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR), Low Power Turn up, Tow, Brake Rider, Hydraulic Contamination, HAZMAT, and Support Equipment licenses and certifications as deemed necessary by the COR. The contractor shall test, troubleshoot, install, remove, inspect, and repair, align/rig systems components and ancillary equipment as directed by the work center supervisor for the following T/AV-8B systems:
Required Scheduled/Unscheduled Inspections
Landing Gear System
Hydraulic Power Systems
Fuel Flow Proportioner Hydraulic System
In-Flight Refueling System
Wheel Brakes and Anti-Skid Systems
Nose Wheel Steering Systems
Flight Control Systems
Speed Brake System
Flap Hydraulic Control System
Lift Improvement Device System
Fuselage and Wing Structure
Composite Repair
Applicable Support/Special Equipment
Applicable Aircraft Publications, Diagrams, Sketches, and Drawings
Applicable Precision Measuring Equipment
Applicable knowledge of aircraft ground handling and common maintenance practices.
