Job Specification: AI Prompt Engineer
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced AI Prompt Engineer to join our team at LocaliQ DMS. As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and fine-tuning AI models using the Vertex.AI platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and software engineering. Your expertise in AI prompt engineering, coupled with proficiency in the Vertex.AI platform, will be essential in creating high-quality AI models to enhance the capabilities of LocaliQ DMS.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data preprocessing and augmentation techniques to enhance the quality and diversity of training data for AI prompt models.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the AI engineering team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to define and refine AI prompt requirements for LocaliQ DMS.
  • Document and communicate technical concepts, methodologies, and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and optimize AI prompt models using the Vertex.AI platform, ensuring high accuracy and performance.
  • Conduct research and experiments to improve AI prompt generation, leveraging techniques such as transfer learning, reinforcement learning, and unsupervised learning.
  • Monitor and analyze model performance and implement necessary adjustments and improvements as needed.
  • Fine-tune and evaluate pre-trained models on relevant datasets to ensure their suitability for specific use cases within LocaliQ DMS.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI prompt models into the LocaliQ DMS infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in NLP and AI technologies, and identify opportunities to apply them to improve AI prompt generation within LocaliQ DMS.
Key Competencies and Experience:
  • Strong expertise in AI prompt engineering, including experience with model fine-tuning, transfer learning, and data preprocessing for NLP tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of NLP techniques, including text classification, entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and language generation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for model development and implementation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, effectively prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience working with the Vertex.AI platform, including knowledge of its features, functionalities, and API integration.
  • Proven experience as an AI Engineer or NLP Engineer, with a focus on developing AI models and working on NLP-related projects.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), code review, and unit testing.
  • Experience in the advertising or marketing domain, particularly with digital marketing platforms, will be advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data and algorithmic challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, and their application to NLP tasks.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $68,400 and $161,000. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
