Staples US Retail Central Order Administration (COA) is responsible for intaking customer orders made via ecommerce or through stores, processing and routing them to the appropriate production facility for fulfillment. The COA also provides tracking and real-time information to our associates to help with any issues that arise with customer needs. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) of COA is responsible for these operations and oversight of the associates, driving efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness. Duties And Responsibilities


  • Maintain relationships with all stakeholders including retail stores, inside sales, Digital Production Facilities, estimating team and customer care teams
  • Lead team to improve operational effectiveness by streamlining business work processes and procedures
  • Drive conflict resolution between associates or groups
  • Collaborate with General Manager to develop plans to favorably impact controllable direct expense items on the P&L, and plan, evaluate and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity
  • Identify knowledge, behavioral and/or skill gaps in associates, responding with action to address developmental opportunities
  • Oversee plan and schedule of orders, driving process improvement to address deficiencies and improve performance
  • Manage labor and material resources to meet production targets
  • Supervise, coach and inspire team of associates to include monitoring and review of associate performance, productivity and engagement encouraging diversity and inclusion
  • Make decisions about equipment utilization and maintenance and manage cost to production budget; implement cost control measures Inventory management and reporting
  • Manage recruitment and onboarding of associates ensuring the safety and security of associates and compliance with required training


Qualifications


Essential skills and experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in organizational effectiveness, operations management and implementing best practices
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), planning, negotiating and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe Suites
  • Experience managing a customer service team, working in a print center environment, and or leading a customer facing team
