SSM Health Dean Medical Group, a 500+ physician multi-specialty group, is recruiting a Dermatology Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) for a full-time (0.8 - 1.0 FTE) position for our SSM Health Dean Medical Group Beaver Dam Clinic. Position requires a minimum of 1-2 years post-education experience as an NP or PA in dermatology. Quality of life practice offering the following:

SSM Health Dean Medical Group and Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, located at 130 Corporate Drive in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, offers exceptional care for the entire family. Highly skilled physicians and advanced practitioners provide care, from diagnosis and treatment for minor and chronic illnesses to immunizations, X-rays and laboratory services.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Active Wisconsin DEA (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years post-education experience as an NP or PA in dermatology.
  • Unrestricted Wisconsin Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Job Summary:

In collaboration with physician(s), demonstrates and provides professional nursing care to specialty patients requiring an advanced level of knowledge and management of their nursing care.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributes to the satisfaction of the medical staff by collaborating with physicians to deliver best care.
  • Provides educational services to nursing and ancillary departments and serves as an educational consultant on clinical practice issues.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Applies evidence based practices to achieve multidisciplinary collaboration to facilitate continuity of care.
  • Evaluates nursing practices associated with specialty area, defines needs/problems with patient care and makes constructive suggestions that creates a positive patient outcome.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Initiates and provides medical interventions in response to acute changes in patient conditions.
  • Recognizes and utilizes opportunities to act as a change agent by introducing nursing practice innovations.


EDUCATION

  • Master's degree from nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare crawling and running.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
  • Occasional driving.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
