Job Description
General Purpose


The league supervisor will oversee the womxn’s basketball league, with the primary duties being scorekeeping and keeping accurate game statistics. Must be available on Sundays, 12-6 pm. The season is tentatively scheduled for November 5 – March 24.

Essential Job Functions
  • Communicate with participants in a professional manner.
  • Report all accidents/incidents occurring within jurisdiction to supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Check area for safety hazards and report deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Follow all departmental rules and regulations.
  • Required to tear down and clean up at the conclusion of program.
  • On site supervision of program, including but not limited to adult basketball league and pickup/drop-in adult sports.
  • Open and close facility, including turning lighting on and off, unlocking and locking doors and clearing building of users.
  • Monitor officiating crews where applicable.
  • Required to be on site 30 minutes before the program starts for set up/preparation and to ensure that the playing area is safe and ready for use (e.g. chairs, tables, bleachers, sweeping floor).
  • Administer proper CPR/First Aid as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Maintain, organize and complete league reports, including team rosters, registration forms, waiver forms, code of conduct forms and game results.
  • Operate scoreboard and/or keep scorebook.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements
  • At least two years of related work experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of sport specific rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as evidenced by ongoing trainings and professional development.
  • Ability to actively support City diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts within stated job responsibilities and work effectively across diverse cultures and constituencies.
  • Ability to work weekends as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Prior First-Aid / CPR / Required.
  • Follow all departmental and rules and regulations.
