Adoption Project Senior Consultant

SUMMARY

At JustFoodForDogs, we're on a mission to improve the length and quality of life for as many pets as possible. We're looking for an Adoption Project Senior Consultant who has a growth mindset and is full of big ideas to help deliver on this mission for pets nationwide. This Adoption Project Senior Consultant role will allow us to maximize the value of our existing Adoption Project business partners by driving collaboration and pet parent conversion to feeding JustFoodForDogs. The role of the Adoption Project Senior Consultant is strategic in helping us deliver future collaboration with new Adoption Project partners.

WHAT YOU’D DO

· Initiate contact with newly adopting pet parents via phone and email at appropriate intervals (3 days, 5 days, 3 months, 6 months)

· Role models service skills that meet our desired “Right Consult” goals and objectives

· Provide “On Call” service for adopting pet parents

· Maintain excel sheets detailing information from consults and ongoing sales.

· Maintain notes in Lightspeed accounts of adopting pet parents for efficient consultant follow-up

· Managing swag inventory for new pet parents (sending to individual rescues via Fedex or personal drop off)

· Attending events hosted by partnering rescues (show support/work events for rescue/work JustFoodForDogs table if applicable)

· Visit rescue facilities regularly to make contact with staff (be the friendly face of JustFoodForDogs)

· Check in with rescue staff on regular schedule to verify stock of JustFoodForDogs meals

· Attend partnership meetings with management to solidify/grow relationships

· Speak with adopters-to-be in the field (at rescue hubs/centers)

· Offer on-site support at JustFoodForDogs events, representing the Adoption Project

· Assist in educating consultants in the field about the Adoption Project and what we do

· Assist in managing donation requests by investigating rescue organizations, verifying 501c3s, assessing reviews

· Assist in organizing pet sponsorships

· Assist in curating content of sponsored pets for the social team

· Actively seek out additional organizations to partner with in the future

QUALIFICATIONS

o Expert level – JustFoodForDog’s product portfolio

o Expert level – JustFoodForDog’s Nutrition consulting

o Knowledge of dog adoption/rescue communities

o Maintain a positive, collaborative, team-building, can-do attitude always and through adversity

o Good analytical/critical thinking

o Excellent sales skills

o Experience as part of a project team on larger, more complex projects

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o Goal-oriented with the ability to set and meet goals

o Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time

o Strong communication and negotiation skills٫ with a good ability to build relations with employees, vendors, and pet parents

o Strong organizational skills with business-oriented thinking

o Strong business acumen

o Flexibility to travel in and outside of the state if necessary [less than 20%]

o Reliable form of transportation on an as-needed basis

o Ability to lift 30 pounds
