JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of assigned supervisor, the Admissions Operations Coordinator facilitates continued enrollment growth and application processing effectiveness. This position is responsible for the granular admissions operations of the assigned College(s), which includes creating the student records in the SIS (Banner), reviewing admission applications and workflows through technical integration with various software and technologies, analyzing applicants and data, providing streamlined communication with prospective students, and advising best practices in the field of the assigned College(s).
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the college program administrators to obtain pertinent information regarding applicant file review, admission committee processes, and admissions decisions.
  • Completes regular admissions application configuration, mapping, and maintenance (based on admission cycle and regulatory needs).
  • Assists Enrollment Management and the College(s) in developing recruitment and communication processes.
  • Evaluates and input transfer coursework.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for admissions application entry and admissions processing systems (OnBase, Banner, Axiom).
  • Advises college admissions committees, faculty, and staff on holistic admissions processes.
  • Collaborates with the Registrar's Office and Financial Aid on the entry and maintenance of academic programs and curricular information.
  • Communicates with prospective and incoming students regarding regulatory and document needs.
  • Generates and analyzes reports in support of data-driven decision-making.
  • Generates scheduled and ad hoc reports or lists through the application review system as required to support admissions goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Reviews and manages admissions documents and serves as backup verification official for other admissions counselors.
  • Collaborates with Enrollment Management Business Analyst and Information Technology to review and update admissions and enrollment processes.
  • Ensures data integrity in the admissions processing systems and timely and accurate updates are applied to online resources, including web pages.
  • Engages in recruitment, orientation, and other student-centered events on behalf of the College and UTHSC (on-site and off-site).
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in related field . ( Master’s Degree is preferred.) (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in admissions including managing applicant data from prospect enrollment, generating reports, and communicating findings. ( Experience with Banner, OnBase, WebAdmit, and/or Axiom technical processes, preferred.)
