Role Description
Walsh College is seeking an Adjunct Professor of Business Communications to join our team.
This is a hybrid role, located in Troy, MI, with some flexibility for remote work. The Adjunct Professor will be responsible for teaching courses defined below. The professor will also be responsible for developing and delivering course materials, assessing student performance, and providing feedback to students.
Responsibilities
The Adjunct Professor will be responsible for teaching courses in:
·Business communications
·Presenting and writing in a business setting
The professor will also be responsible for developing and delivering course materials, assessing student performance, and providing feedback to students.
Successful faculty members complete the following consistently:
1.Open the class by the defined day and time
2.Update the syllabus each term
3.Schedule office hours
4.Grade within seven days of due dates
5.Provide differentiated grading with personal feedback
6.Complete alerts for all classes
7.Provide final grades by defined dates
Qualifications
- Earned doctorate (or ABD status) is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work remotely and in-person
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Earned master’s in business communications is required
- Strong knowledge of subject matter with practical applications
