Job Description
Essential Duties
The Department of Education anticipates the need for part-time time-limited non-tenure track positions. Adjunct instructors may be needed to teach courses in the following disciplines: elementary education generalist, early childhood development, reading/literacy, gifted education, educational leadership, or serve as instructor for clinical/field-based experiences.
  • Maintain prompt, clear, and consistent communication with all students.
  • Provide high commitment to quality teaching.
  • Use the University’s learning management system for delivery of coursework.
  • Use interactive technology for instruction, assessment, and coaching.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in education for undergraduate teaching; Educational Specialist or doctorate in needed area of emphasis for graduate teaching
  • Ability to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, students, and P-12 school partners.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience teaching online using a learning management system such as CANVAS preferred but not required.
  • Proven teaching and/or administration experience in a P-12 environment; some teaching in higher education preferred but not required.
Summary
The Department of Education anticipates the need for part-time, time-limited, non-tenure track positions. Adjunct instructors may teach up to two 3-hours education courses per semester.
