Job Description
Converse University Adjunct instructors in Accounting for Spring 2024 The Department of Economics, Accounting and Business at Converse University is seeking adjunct instructors for Spring 2024 to teach these courses. The use of Excel in teaching both courses is highly valued. In class is preferred , but we are also open to online, synchronous. ACC 212 Accounting Principles II : The second of our required principles courses. Management accounting topics such as product costing, budgeting, and decision-making are studied. 3 credits ACC 375 Financial Statement Analysis . This course will help students develop the skills necessary to analyze and interpret financial statements of corporations. Students will explore financial reporting topics introduced in ACC 211. Additional topics will include return on invested capital, profitability and investment analysis. This analysis viewpoint is that of the user of financial statements. Prereqs required: ACC 211, 212 (principles/financial and managerial). 4 credits. Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Accountancy, or in Business Administration with an Accounting or Finance concentration, from an accredited institution of higher learning, and a CPA or other relevant certification or extensive work experience in accounting/finance. Experience teaching at university level is preferred.
