    Examples of Essential Duties
    Under supervision of the senior center director, provides administrative, operational, programming and technical assistance, enters data into WellSky and MySeniorCenter, and assists with program registration and membership renewals.

    • Assists members with accessing to MySeniorCenter and OPAL programs.
    • In the absence of staff or a council member, accepts payment for council special events, accept travel payments and places in drop box, greets members and guests, and sells CountyRide tickets.
    • In the absence of, or in collaboration with, a volunteer, provides front desk coverage including, answers telephone and answers in-person questions.
    • Registers new members, renews current members’ membership forms, collects enhancement donations.
    • Enters data into WellSky and other software (such as MySeniorCenter and Survey Monkey).
    • Assists in completing reports as needed and as assigned by the senior center director.
    • Attends senior center team meetings.
    • Makes bank deposits for all county revenues as needed.

    Performs other related duties as required.

    Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent

    two years successful experience as a playground leader, recreation leader, specialist, teacher, or worker in a closely allied field.
    Preferred qualifications
    Two years successful experience in senior centers, adult education, adult recreation, counseling, social work, community development or a closely related field.
    This position may require maintaining CPR/AED/First Aid and ServSafe certifications which must be maintained throughout employment.
    Licenses and Certificates
    This position may require possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial class C Maryland driver's license at the time of appointment.
    Proof of Education, License and Certification
    Applicants are required to submit proof of driver's license and education beyond high school to meet the qualifications of the position.     The work of this classification entails some physical labor including walking over rough and uneven surfaces in the inspection of facilities and grounds, and some liftng and carrying of items. The work entails travel to recreation and park sites, facilities, and meetings throughout the County.
    Medical Examination and Employment Background Investigation
    Applicants selected for an appointment to a position in Baltimore County must successfully complete a physical examination and drug screen and an employment background investigation, including, but not limited to a criminal background, education, and fingerprint check.

    Annual Salary review - Step increases may be granted on anniversary date based on satisfactory job performance
