What We’re Looking For
S&B needs a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable processes, excellent mathematical skills, and exceptional attention to detail. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate and timely billing.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage the accounts receivable process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy of data and timeliness of payments.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to customer billing, applying necessary adjustments and communicating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer accounts, including contact information, payment terms, and credit limits.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate and detailed information.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with customers regarding outstanding or late payments, preparing and sending payment reminders as necessary.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in practical situations.
  • Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
