Gordon Food Service is hiring an Accounts Payable Processor. This candidate will process invoices and issues payments in a timely and accurate manner, resolving variances when appropriate.

This is your chance to join this dynamic team at 1300 Gezon Pkwy SW, Grand Rapids, MI Office.

Responsibility

• Processes exception invoices that can not be processed by rules based automated processing
• Conducts standard discrepancy research and resolution
• Generates standard reporting
• Manually processes incoming invoices and exceptions that are not automated
• Converts currency for invoice processing
• Processes billbacks related to purchase orders for product shipped to all distribution centers
• Communicates with internal/external customers and vendors
• Facilitates document prep/storage as needed

Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Mathematical - Basic math skills (arithmetic and simple addition/subtraction, ordering, etc).
• Communication - reading (standard), writing (business email), speaking (basic, conversational)
• Self Management - Self directed, organized, and able to make prioritization assessments.
• Data entry - able to use 10 key, accurate data entry skills
• Reasoning / Problem Solving - Comparing, analyzing, coordinating, copying, etc. and ability to recognize non-standard situations / discrepancies with invoices
• Human Relations - Customer service and relationship building
• Computer navigation (basic) - finding and locating details on a computer, using mouse, etc.
